At The Gillion Academy, each day is intentionally designed to provide the structure, consistency, and mentorship students need to grow into focused, resilient young adults. From the moment they arrive, they are guided by adult mentors, held to high standards, and engaged in meaningful academic and athletic work.
Our daily schedule reflects our mission: to build strong minds, strong bodies, and strong character—on and off the court. It’s built around key principles proven to help students thrive: clear structure, frequent physical activity, adult-guided accountability, and purpose-driven routines. This rhythm keeps students anchored to mentors, focused on growth, and committed to something greater than themselves.

Sample Daily Schedule
7:30 AM – 8:30 AM
Student Drop-Off & Early Bird Shooting
Players are welcomed into a calm, focused environment. Early risers get extra gym time to sharpen skills and build discipline through repetition.
8:30 AM – 11:45 AM
Academic Block – Online Learning with Onsite Support
Students complete accredited coursework through Acellus Academy, supported by academic advisors. Coaches are also present to reinforce expectations and supervision.
Self-paced, college-prep learning
Weekly grade checks and interventions
Quiet, focused setting with intentional peer groupings
11:45 AM – 12:30 PM
Strength, Speed & Plyometrics
Led by professional trainers and coaches, this midday physical training block boosts athletic performance and energizes students for the rest of the day.
12:30 PM – 1:30 PM
Lunch & Recovery
Students take a break to refuel and rest in a clean, respectful environment. This is also a time for casual mentorship and peer connection under adult supervision.
1:30 PM – 2:30 PM
Shooting & Skill Development (Dr. Dish Court)
Focused reps in shooting, technique, and mechanics with professional-grade equipment and hands-on coaching.
2:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Team Training – NBA Half Court Sessions
Team-based development in game situations, defensive schemes, and conditioning. These sessions build discipline, leadership, and a high-performance mindset.
4:30 PM – 6:00 PM
Optional Homework Help and After School Clubs
Students can take advantage of extra tutoring sessions and participate in extra-curricular clubs that extend learning and build community beyond the classroom.
Additional Responsibilities:
Chores & Facility Respect – Students take ownership of their space and environment.
Life Skills Sessions – Scheduled weekly throughout the academic week (guest speakers, financial literacy, leadership training, etc.).

Yes. The schedule is designed to be intense but sustainable. Students have time for meals, rest, and recovery to support both academic focus and athletic performance.
